PROFESSIONAL PROJECTS
Based in Poulsbo, across the Puget Sound from Seattle, I was responsible for creating the sequel to Astronewt Studio's debut title Lucille and the Day of Changes. My role at the studio consisted of everything from storyboarding to paginating, penciling to inking, and conceptualizing to finalizing all with collaboration of the writing team and AD.

Hired in 2016 to conceptualize sharks for Discovery, I was tasked with not only continuing to draw informational graphics for said client but was trusted to visually represent other clients by illustrating 2D graphics/assets for everything from Title IX videos for Yale University to Weird But True Shorts for Nat Geo Kids.

As a 2D Artist who doesn't have much patience for animating, I was thrilled to learn about the puppet technique. I can illustrate the backgrounds, characters, and expressions then hand the files off to the animator to complete the short!

This technique taught me the
importance of labeling my files well
and keeping them organized when I send them off to the next team. A messy file means a messy project!
CURRENT PERSONAL PROJECTS
Under the Surface is an ongoing personal project that started as a graphic novel and was transformed into the mock pitch deck thanks to the mentorship from Jayd "Chira" Aït-Kaci best known for their flagship titles Sfeer Theory, Gaze an Eagle Blind, and Song of the Bull Rider.
The outline for the graphic novel is complete and is currently going through its third round of edits.

Originally created in 2014 and popularized on the webcomic hosting site SmackJeeves, Dancing on Embers follows Beppe, a young Italian boy coming to terms with his sexuality during the height of WWII and the Fascist regime. As his veteran grandfather fights against Mussolini’s enforcers, Beppe harbors feelings for someone who could be their downfall.
Previously shelved, I’ve recently begun developing Dancing on Embers for a revival as a YA graphic novel.
